Ms. Erika Morel is the Internship Coordinator at East Side House YABC; she leads the Internship Program in which you gain valuable work experience and develop professional skills in a work setting while getting paid for it. You can get between 5-15 hours per week and work your schedule around school hours so neither gets affected…because you are here to finish school after all!
The Internship Program is an amazing opportunity for students to gather a sense of what it’s like to have a job, work on time management, budgeting and develop positive communication skills among other valuable resources.
If you are interested in becoming an Intern, these are some of the basic requirements:
- Resume -come by the Rm B23 if you need assistance with this
- Picture ID (school ID is OK)
- Social Security (or birth certificate)
- Two letters of recommendation (1 must be from your Student Advisor)
- Attendance evaluation
